Wet bars, dry bars, wine bars, coffee stations, and full entertainment centers — designed around your home and the way you actually use it.
A custom home bar isn't just furniture — it's a functional space that changes how you entertain, relax, and use your home. Whether you want a compact coffee station in the kitchen, a full wet bar in the basement, or an elegant wine bar in the dining room, Blackthorn designs and builds it to fit the space you have and the lifestyle you want.
Every home bar we build starts with understanding the room, the flow, and how you plan to use it. Then we design something that works — spatially, aesthetically, and functionally — and build it with materials that hold up to daily use in a Florida home.
Full plumbing with sink, running water, and drain. Ideal for serious entertainers and homes where the bar is a primary gathering space. We handle all plumbing work and permitting.
No plumbing required — just countertop, storage, and serving space. Can be installed almost anywhere in your home. Perfect for wine storage, spirits display, and casual entertaining.
Temperature-controlled storage, proper racking, glass-front displays, and tasting areas. We design wine storage that protects your collection while making it the visual centerpiece of the room.
Dedicated espresso and coffee bars with machine alcoves, cup storage, bean organization, and counter space. Morning routines transformed into morning rituals.
Full-scale entertainment bars with seating, refrigeration, display shelving, and media integration. Turn underutilized space into the best room in the house.
Space-efficient built-ins that maximize storage in smaller rooms. Custom-fitted to alcoves, corners, and underutilized wall space without a full bar footprint.
The best location depends on how you'll use it. Basement bars work well for dedicated entertainment spaces. Living room or dining room built-ins are great for everyday use. Kitchen-adjacent bars keep you connected to the action. We assess your home's layout and recommend the optimal location during consultation.
Not necessarily. Dry bars require no plumbing and can be installed almost anywhere. Wet bars with sinks require water supply and drain lines. If you want a sink, ice maker, or dishwasher, you'll need plumbing — but we handle all of that as part of the build.
Quartz and granite are top choices for Florida homes because they resist heat, stains, and humidity. Butcher block adds warmth but needs sealing in humid climates. We also work with concrete, marble, and composite materials depending on the design and budget.
A compact dry bar can fit in as little as 4 feet of wall space. A functional wet bar typically needs 6–8 feet minimum. Full basement bars with seating usually work best with 10+ feet. We design to your available space — we've built impressive bars in surprisingly tight quarters.
